A “mom & pop” beach town halfway down Florida’s East Coast
Indialantic Beach
Easily overshadowed by popular Cocoa Beach, 16 miles to the north, Indialantic is a low-key surf town along Florida’s Space Coast with a lot of “mom and pop” flair. Located directly across the Intracoastal Waterway from the mainland city of Melbourne, about halfway between Jacksonville and Miami, Indialantic is an attractive seaside town boasting a handful of popular local dining faves and small surf shops along its two main corridors, SR A1A and US 192.

The beach in this part of Florida also has a distinctive look, with dunes covered in sea grapes instead of sea oats and light turquoise waters like one might expect to see in the Carribbean. A short boardwalk lines the dunes near where A1A meets 192, equipped with showers for rinsing Indialantic’s especially clingy gray sand off your feet.
Lovely shots! I really the like third from the bottom. It’s a sweeping shot that captures a whole lot. Great job!
